I just ordered two hats at Thomas & Thomas. These newly introduced hats come with the iconic hand-drawn (by Thomas Maxwell) casting man figure that originates from the early days of the company.One of these hats is for a special guy.
Here is a nice little note by Marc Aroner on Maxwell's drawing.

Your dad is one of the icons in bamboo fly rod making. I have yet to see one of his rods myself, but the pictures show his rods as pure art.
