My first article in Trout & Salmon

I've written articles for magazines before, but one in the reputable Trout & Salmon magazine is pretty amazing.

 

Editor Pete Tyjas, who was the publisher of Fly Culture Magazine and the podcast with the same name asked me wether I'd 'fancy a gig about the Humpy'. We've known each other for some years now although we've yet to meet personally. Maybe I'll have to visit the British Fly Fair and/or do some fishing together soon.

Interview with Jim Bartschi

Scott Fly Rod has a different vibe than most rod companies. Maybe it's because they had the idea to build a graphite 9ft 4 weight rod (original G series) that was considered impossible back in 1977. 

Or because Scott has always kept on making fiberglass rods next to the new wonder material called graphite. Or was the first, and still do, to make five piece rods for packing? Or they still offer rods in glass, graphite and bamboo?
